About Us

Who we are

We run maths and mindset programmes in under-resourced communities, led by trained local youth. Children build strong skills, young people find meaningful work, and communities grow in confidence and hope.

TIMCA is a non-profit working to change South Africa from the ground up. We use maths as a powerful entry point — not just to improve education outcomes, but to ignite potential, shift mindsets, and grow a pipeline of work-ready youth equipped with the skills our economy needs.

Our mission is bigger than marks: it’s about unlocking futures, revitalising communities, and driving inclusive economic change.

We work in under-resourced communities to build sustainable, local solutions that strengthen public education and improve maths outcomes. Through after-school Maths Clubs, and community-based coaching, we’re equipping the next generation with the tools to think critically, collaborate effectively, and lead confidently.

Our model is low-cost, scalable, and designed for real-world impact — building strong maths foundations and mindsets early, to set learners up for success in high school, further study, and the world of work.
